Sidera Path provides astrology readings, account features, profile customization, and optional notifications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we may collect your email address, phone number, username, and authentication identifiers from Firebase Authentication or Google Sign-In.
• Profile and birth details. We collect information you provide in your profile, such as your name, date of birth, birth time, birth city, and other astrology-related preferences.
• Profile photos and media. If you choose to upload a profile picture, we access media you select from your device library and store the resulting image on our backend.
• Approximate location from IP/network data. Sidera Path may determine your approximate location using your IP address or network-based geolocation when the app opens. We do not request device GPS/location permissions for this purpose.
• Notification data. If you enable notifications, we collect and store your push token and notification preference so we can deliver reminders and reading alerts.
• Device and security data. We may collect device timezone, app version, platform details, and security-related identifiers needed for fraud prevention, App Check, authentication, and service reliability.
• Support communications. If you contact support, we collect the information you include in your message.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To generate astrology charts, readings, and personalized in-app experiences.
• To provide approximate location context without requesting device location permissions.
• To store and display your profile photo when you choose to upload one.
• To send push notifications if you opt in.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the app.

Permissions and Device Access

• Photos / media library. We request media access only when you choose a profile picture.
• Notifications. We request notification permission only if you enable notifications.
• No camera or microphone access. Sidera Path does not require camera or microphone permissions for normal operation.
• No device GPS permission. Sidera Path does not request Android or iOS device location permissions for approximate location features.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to operate the app. Depending on the feature you use, these providers may process relevant data on our behalf.

• Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, and related Google/Firebase services for sign-in, account security, and push delivery support.
• Google Sign-In when you choose that authentication method.
• IP geolocation providers to estimate approximate location from network/IP data.
• Infrastructure and hosting providers used to operate our API, storage, and notifications.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Sidera Path, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and services.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify information in accordance with our retention and backup practices.

Your Choices

• You can update or remove profile information within the app.
• You can turn notifications on or off in the app or your device settings.
• You can remove your profile photo at any time.
• You can request account deletion from within the app.

Children's Privacy

Sidera Path is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on our website.
